Services and Fees
Our monthly fee starts at $12,437* for Studio A and $12,973* for Studio B and includes:
- Individual care plan
- Daily dining services with three meals a day, plus snacks
- A selection of cuisines, and accommodations for special dietary needs
- Utilities, with the exception of telephone and cable
- Medication management
- Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- On-site campus security guard
- Daily planned social, recreational, and educational opportunities
- Incontinence care (except supplies)
- Regular housekeeping, linen service, and personal laundry
- Highly trained staff dedicated to honoring and celebrating each individual
- Daily mail pick-up and delivery
- iN2L educational and entertainment system
- Colorful, cheerful common areas—ideal for home-style dining with family and friends

With 24 residences, a gracious dining room, picturesque grounds, tranquil pathways, and plenty of sunshine, it’s a serene and protected environment nestled within Vista del Monte Retirement Community.

What kinds of social opportunities are available to Summer House residents?
We have a variety of individual and social activities scheduled throughout the day, tailored to the specific needs of each resident. Group activities include music, art, crafts, painting, cooking, excursions, pet therapy, gardening, walks, live performances and more.

Do Summer House residents have access to the entire Vista del Monte campus?
Yes, Summer House residents are welcome to visit any common area on the greater Vista del Monte campus as long as they are escorted. Summer House residents can dine with family in our main dining room, participate in a variety of activities throughout the campus, and much more.

Can family members and friends visit Summer House?
Yes, we recommend that family members visit residents between breakfast and 9:00 p.m. Family members and friends may escort residents out of Summer House, provided staff has been notified. Visiting families can spend time in the gardens, take up a craft project, play games, do puzzles, listen to music, and more.

Does Summer House staff check on residents on a regular basis?
Yes, residents are monitored 24 hours a day using the latest technology. This monitoring is unobtrusive and includes pendants that notify staff to respond if a resident has fallen. Residences are also equipped with motion sensors that alert staff if a resident is getting up during the night. Additionally, all common areas at Summer House are equipped with delayed-egress doors with sensors. Staff also performs personal wellness checks on a frequent basis as required by law.

Has your staff been trained to work with memory care residents?
Yes, our staff training meets the Department of Social Services requirements in Alzheimer’s care and dementia care. Staff also receives additional, on-going training in understanding the disease process. Training extends to all aspects of care: encouraging participation, leading engaging activities, assisting with personal care and dining, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing cueing and assistance with activities of daily living.

At Summer House, we offer innovative cognitive-enrichment experiences that engage residents—and the results can be dramatic: Through the Music and Memory program, we help reconnect people with individually meaningful songs. A robotic seal named PARO offers social integration and mood management.
